Obituary

Sheryl Ann Savoy, born August 28, 1957, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

Sheryl will be remembered as a woman whose presence filled a room. She was loud in the most unforgettable way, outspoken, kind, and very funny, with a great sense of humor that left a lasting impression on the people around her. She loved hard and lived hard, bringing energy, honesty, and warmth to her family and friends throughout her life.

She leaves behind a family who will carry her memory forward with love. Sheryl is survived by her daughter, Kim Smith, and by her son, Steven Cormier, and his wife, Becky. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren: Gabriella Cormier; Brailyn Richard, Deacon Richard, Bishop Richard; Lauren LeBouef (Joseph), and Matthew LaFleur (Sarah). Her legacy continues in her two great-granddaughters, Greta LaFleur and Anna Claire LaFleur, who brought added joy to her family circle.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter; father, Joseph Savoy; her mother, Hilda Fontenot Lanthier; and her sister, Norma Fontenot. Their memories remained part of the story of her life, and now she is reunited with those who went before her.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at Quirk & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Gary Gaudin. The funeral home will reopen for visitation on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.

Sheryl Ann Savoy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her strong spirit, her humor, and the love she gave so freely. Her life touched many, and her memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
