Sherry Belton Sam passed away on Wednesday September 20, 2017, at the age of 57. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday , September 27,2017, at 1:00 PM at St. Augustine Catholic Church with burial to follow at Assumption Cemetery in Basile. Fr. Kennon Brown will officiate. At the request of the family visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 8:00 AM until 1:00 P M at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Basile. Sherry is survived by her companion; Ernest Sennette of Church Point, one son; Joey Belton and Amber of Eunice, two daughters; Elizabeth Brooks and Gregory of Basile, Aliyah Sam of Basile, three brothers; Oscar Belton and Carol of Lafayette, Phillip Belton of Eunice, James Belton of Eunice, one sister; Laura Belton four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Belton, Sr. and Hazel Cesar Belton, two brothers; Junious Belton, Sr. and Joseph Belton, Jr., two sisters; Shirley Mason and Eva Marie Botley. Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice is in charge of the arrangements.
