Shelton "June" August, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at the age of 61.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 10 AM. Fr. David Hebert will officiate. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Basile.

Shelton is survived by two brothers, Jimmy August of Gatesville, TX and Jessie August of Beaumont, TX; and five sisters, Joyce Dalcour of Basile, Majorie August Hampton of TX, Annie Lavan of Basile, Mary Dean August of Basile, and Tonya August of Basile.

Shelton was preceded in death by his parents, Shelton August, Sr. and Dora Moreau August and two sisters, Mary Jean August and Nora August.

Quirk & Son Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
