Sheila Herrod DeRouen, of Eunice, LA, died November 2, 2018 after a long illness. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 17, 2018, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Eunice, LA. A reception will follow at Cypress Grove Place/Chapell Store on Hwy 13 South, Eunice, La. She is survived by her son Dr. Karl DeRouen Jr. and his wife Haidee, their children Pierre, Isabelle and Fernand; daughter Anne DeRouen Jasien and her husband Thomas, their children Nicolas, Amelia and Tucker. She is also survived by her brother Samuel and his wife Linda.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Karl DeRouen whom she wed in 1961, and her parents, Samuel and Rosemary Keller Herrod. Sheila was born on October 14, 1942, in Eunice and graduated from St. Edmund's High School in 1960 and University of Southwest Louisiana in 1964 (now called ULL). Sheila was a teacher at Eunice High School for over 30 years.

Sheila's faith in God was deep. She was a loving mother, doting 'nana' and a loyal friend to many.
