Sandra Jean Simpson Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished pillar of her family, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026. Born on June 5, 1947, Sandra's life was a testament to love, strength, and devotion. She was the glue that held everything together, a role she embraced with unwavering grace and tenderness.

Sandra's presence was a source of warmth and stability to those around her, especially to her husband, Dewey "Butch" Brown, Jr., who shared his life with her in deep companionship and love. Together, they raised a remarkable family of four sons: Brian Brown; Buck Brown and his wife Kim; Will Brown and his wife Stephanie; and Matthew Brown. Their family was further enriched by their daughter, Linda Pierce and her husband Paul.

The joy Sandra found in her family was immense, highlighted by her delight in the lives of her seventeen grandchildren: Thomas Henshaw, Morgan Pressburg, Haley Clements, Kevin Pearson, Sarah Kendall, Sarah Fraize, Samantha Hyatt, Brandan Brown, Allison Manuel, Hallie Brown, Emmigrace Brown, Ella Brown, Gavin Brown, Logan Brown, Ava Brown, Jace Brown, and Ashley Brown. Her legacy continues through nineteen great-grandchildren, each a testament to her enduring spirit and love.

Sandra's journey was marked by both joyous celebrations and profound loss. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Angela Birdsong, whose memory remains deeply cherished. Her parents, Dewitt Edgar Simpson, Sr. and Mary Alice Kiar Bramlett, lovingly paved the way for Sandra's inspiring life. She also endured the loss of her brother, Dewitt Simpson, Jr.; her sister, Donna Simpson Miller; a grandchild, Charles Robert Birdsong; and two great-grandchildren, losses felt keenly by all who knew and loved her.

At this time, no services have been planned. Though Sandra Jean Simpson Brown is no longer with us, the love, strength, and unity she fostered will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life was a beacon of warmth and support, and though she has passed, the impact of her love will continue to hold the family together, just as she always did.
