On September 21, 2023, this world lost a great man. Russell J. Richard earned his wings at the age of 74 after blessing this world with many gifts and talents in his career as a machinist and tool & die maker. His wisdom was not surpassed by anyone. In his 55 year career, he has built a few business from ground up. His most successful was SMS, which he sold out in later years. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Kathie Richard; eldest son, Russell "Rusty" Richard and his wife Kim with their children Layne' (Jacque) and Rustyn Richard and their grand child Jack Fruge; daughter Felicia Fontenot and her husband Shane with children, Heather Estes (Orry) with grandchildren Scarlett,Watson, Arthur and , Lauren Wolf (Toby), Dana Bergeron (Matt) with grandchildren Haylee, McKayla, Lilly, and Olivier; and son Danny Richard and his wife Bonnie with their children Elizabeth Istre (Zach) and Baly Savoy with Willow Savoy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilbert and Ada Richard, one sister, Mamie Granger and one brother, Harold Richard. At the request of his wife, no services have been planned at this time.
