Rufus Joseph Richard, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at the age of 69. A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rickey Boone officiating. Cremation will follow with interment of his ashes at First Baptist Church Cemetery in Chataignier at a later date. At the request of family, visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of Services. Rufus is survived by his wife, Charmane Fontenot Richard; two sons, Dustin Richard, Tyler Richard; three daughters, Jessica Anderson (Jamie), Trista Long (Micky Jacobs), Tiffany Ashford (Josh); one brother, Gerald Richard (Robin); brother-in-law, Alvin Ogea; ten grandchildren, Logan, Maleki, James, Nakaia, Molly, Lakelyn, Charlie Kay, Dodge, Conner and Baby A. He was preceded in death by his son, Travis DeClue; parents, Rufus Richard, Sr. and Ezola McDaniel Richard; one brother, Jimmy Lee Richard and one sister, Barbara Ogea.
