Ruby Benoit Carroll passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the age of 85. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Cemetery of Chataignier. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by Deacon Gaudin. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Thursday until time of Services. Ruby is survived by three sons, Marshall Dupre, Tommy Dupre (Cindy), Elvin "Jay" Dupre (Bonnie); four daughters, Sue Guilbeaux, Tammy Pitre, Tout Vidrine (Ricky), Marlene Guillory (Paul); one brother, Gerald Benoit (Rose); four sisters, Jeanette Prejean (Darrell), Jeanelle Johnson, Brenda Benoit (Donald), Wilma Bihm; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Rebecca Dupre; her parents, J. "Charlie" Benoit, Sr. and Gladys Cormier Benoit; two brothers, Darrell Benoit, Joe Benoit; four sisters, Linda Daigle, Wilda Bihm, Judy Benoit, Joann Johnson; son-in-law Dwain Pitre, Sr. and great-grandchild Maizee Catherine Vidrine. They family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff of Hope Hospice and Oaklane Nursing Home for the superb care given their loved one.
