Rowena Brou McClelland passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the age of 89. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Msg. Bob Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rowena is survived by three sons, Scott McClelland and wife Betty of Gonzales, Robert McClelland and wife Patti of Denham Springs, and Neal McClelland and wife Leah of New Iberia; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Murrell and husband Harold of Crosby, Tx.; one sister, Marcelle Woosley of Gonzales; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Rowena was proceeded in death by her parents, Marcel Brou and Aline Robert Brou; her husband, Robert A. McClelland; and one sister, Audrey Waggenspack. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Deacon Gary Gaudin at 6 PM. Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family request s in lieu of flowers donations may be made to st. Anthony's Catholic Church or charity of choice.
