Rose Boudreaux Thibodeaux

Rose Boudreaux Thibodeaux was born October 30, 1945 and returned to the arms of Jesus on Friday, September 4, 2026 while surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

From Prairie Ronde, Rose was the only child of Freddie and Louanna Boudreaux and spoke French as her first language. At 18, she married the love of her life, Larry, and they spent their days together traveling and raising their daughters, Mona and Donna. Throughout Rose’s life, she had a great love and devotion to our Lord and was a warrior in prayer. Rose delighted in loving her family, her friends and her dogs. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, scrapbooking and gardening. Every afternoon, without fail, you could find her enjoying a good cup of coffee on her front porch. She will be remembered for the joy she had in life and her unwavering faith in God.

She is survived by her children; Mona Roberie (Bobby), and Donna Ogea (Sonny) both of Eunice, her grandchildren; Tifanie Bundick (Brett), Robbie Roberie (Casey), Lainey LaLonde (David) all of Eunice, Emily Self (Hunter) and Ally Ogea (John Smith) both of Lake Charles; and her great grandchildren Grant, Hayes, Trace, Landry, Ava, Owen, Drew, Olivia and John Luke.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Thibodeaux and her parents, Freddie and Louanna Boudreaux.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 7, 2026 at Quirk & Son Chapel with Reverend Alvin Ogea officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held the same day at Quirk & Son Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until time of Services.

Rose’s family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Zeb Stearns, Dr. Joseph Brierre and Eric Buller PA, Hope Hospice, Oak Lane Rehabilitation Center and others that cared for her over the last few years.
