Rose Mary Bertrand passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2013 at the age of 87. Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Reverend Buddy Hampton will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Rose is survived by two daughters, Sandra Miller and her husband Robert of Basile and Janet Williams and her husband Johnny of Ethel; one son, Ed Bertrand and his wife Diana of Eunice; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lucille Fruge Fruge; her husband, Anthony "Atney" Bertrand; one daughter, Joan Shaw; one granddaughter, Leslea Shaw; and four sisters, Gertrude Guidry, Bonnie Lange, Pearl Guillory, and Irene Miller. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday December 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
