He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Sharline Hanson Durio, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and love.

Ronald Ray Durio, 88, passed away on September 4, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1937, to the late Clovis and Louise Myers Durio.

Ronald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Sharline Hanson Durio, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and love.

Ronald had a passion for the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and proudly won numerous fishing tournaments at Miller’s Lake. He also enjoyed squirrel and dove hunting and treasured the time spent outdoors doing what he loved.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sharline Hanson Durio; his sons, Michael Jones and wife Betsy and Troy Durio and wife Christy; his daughter, Mandy Durio; his five grandchildren, Joshua Jones, Daniel Jones, Drake Durio, Avery Durio, and Mason Johnson; his bonus granddaughter, Laura Abbott; and his sisters, Linda Touchet and Jeanine Kibodeaux and husband Robert.

He was an avid fisherman and proudly won numerous fishing tournaments at Miller’s Lake.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Louise Myers Durio; his brother, Larry Durio; and his sister, Juanita Durio.

Ronald will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for fishing and hunting, and the many memories he created throughout his life. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home, with Dr. Rev. Warren Langford officiating. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Eunice.
