Roger Dale Cortez, Sr. passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 at the age of 70. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Fontenot officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 10:30 AM until 9:00 PM and will resume at 8:00 AM on Tuesday until time of Services. Roger is survived by three sons, Joey Cortez (Briseida), Roger Cortez, II (Kylie), Carmen Cortez (Melissa): three daughters, Ashley Fontenot (Roland, Jr.), Kathryn Sias (Clint) and Melanie Cortez; two brothers, Lelan Cortez and Wade Cortez; one sister, Carolyn Breaux; twenty-five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie LeJeune Cortez; son, Joel Cortez; his parents, L.D. Cortez and Erma Reed Cortez and a sister, Deanna Cortez.
