Robert "Bobby" John Bertrand, born on July 12, 1954, passed away on June 12, 2026, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was 71 years old.
A Memorial Service celebrating Bobby’s life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of Bobby beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of service. The service will be officiated by Brother Kevin Richard.
Bobby was an avid outdoorsman who found great joy in hunting and fishing throughout his life. His passion for these pursuits was well known among his circle of friends and family, reflecting his deep appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures it offers.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosario Novelinda Bertrand; two sons, Robert Bertrand, Jr. and his wife Brooke, and William Matthew Bertrand; two daughters, Wendy Nugent and her husband Steven, and Melissa Stanley and her husband Cull. Bobby was a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren: Bella Nugent, Kamden Nugent, Theodore Nugent, Lincoln Nugent, Cecile Stanley, Violet Stanley, and Liam Bertrand. He also leaves behind his sister, Jenny Jagneaux, and her husband, Brent.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Junice Burke Bertrand and Mary Lou David Bertrand; two brothers, Billy Thomas Bertrand and Paul Bertrand; and his sister, Patrica Ann Reed.
Throughout his life, Bobby demonstrated hard work in the oilfield and enduring enthusiasm for his hobbies, which enriched the lives of those around him. His legacy is one of warmth, commitment, and a profound connection to both family and the outdoors. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
