Rita Mae T. Manuel, 67 of Mamou, Louisiana died on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Savoy Care Center in Mamou, Louisiana.

Born Thursday, May 13, 1943 in Eunice, Louisiana.

Surviving are her father, Adam Thibodeaux of Eunice, LA, three sons, Selton Manuel, Jr. (Darlene) of Kinder, LA,Steve Manuel, (Liz) of Mamou, LA and Eric Manuel (Tammy) of Basile, LA, one brother, Donald Thibodeaux of Eunice, LA, five sisters, Ella Harrell of Eunice, LA, Dolores Lejeune of Richard, LA, Gail Dietz of Eunice, LA, Sue Kibodeaux of Eunice, LA and Sherry Fontenot of Eunice, LA; 16 grand children; 15 great grand children. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ida Thibodeaux Thibodeaux, husband, Selton Manuel, Sr. and her son, Paul Manuel. A Funeral service officiated by Deacon Gary Gaudin will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street in Eunice. Burial to follow in Reed Cemetery, (Lanse Meg) Mamou, LA.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice with a rosary @ 6:00 PM. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 for a visitation until the service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home, 121 S. 6th. Street of Eunice is in charge of arrangements.
