Richard Lee LaCalle passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at the age of 54.

Richard dedicated much of his life to serving others as a police officer.

Born on June 5, 1972, in Opelousas, Louisiana, Richard dedicated much of his life to serving others as a police officer. He was known for his commitment to his profession, his love for his family, and the relationships he built throughout his life.

Richard is now reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Carol Parnicky LaCalle; and his parents, Lester Lee LaCalle, Jr. and Patricia Ann Thibodeaux LaCalle.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Garrett LaCalle and wife, Linzy, and Derek LaCalle and wife, Brianna; two daughters, Taylor LaCalle and Ashton LaCalle; his brother, Brandon LaCalle; and his five adoring grandchildren, Eli LaCalle, Finley LaCalle, Kylan LaCalle, Mia LaCalle, and Atticus Hurks.

Richard is also survived by his stepson, Michael Braman and his children; and his stepdaughters, Sue Braman and Carolyn Anderson and their children, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
