Raymond John Bourgeois passed away at St. Joseph Carpenter House on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the age of 67. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile with Father Keenan Brown celebrant, with a Rosary at 10:00 AM. Interment of his ashes will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery, Raymond was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus member. He was also involved in Special Olympics, Acadiana Outreach and his church. Raymond is survived by two sisters, Theresa Lafosse, Elaine Manuel and husband Danny; special friend, Robert Labbe; one nephew, Mickey Manuel; four nieces, Page Bertrand, Amanda Fontenot, Erin Lafosse, Rachel Duplechin and a host of great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Gladys Deshotel Bourgeois.
