A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 9:30 AM. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A rosary will be prayed on Monday evening at 6:00 by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Raifton is survived by his daughter, Tammy L. Guillory and her husband Charlie; brother, Merlin J. Lavergne; sisters, Sherlene Abrigo and Jennifer Lindsey; three grandchildren, Shenea Edwards and her husband Dusty, Dustin Guillory and Dillion Lavergne; two great grandchildren, Rayann Edwards and Lawsen Guillory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilman J. Lavergne and Hilda Doucet Lavergne; a son Leon J. Lavergne; brother, Emery Lavergne; sister, Joyce Soileau. Visitation will begin on Monday from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 AM.
