Philip Belton passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the age of 72. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile with Father Keenan Brown Celebrant. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held at Quirk & Son Funeral Home, Basile location, from 8:00 AM until time of departure for Services. Philip is survived by one daughter, Yolanda Belton; two sons, Matrell Vigers, Philip Belton, Jr.; his long-time partner, Jane Belton; two brothers, Oscar Belton, James Belton; one sister, Laura Belton; six grandchildren, Blake Belton, Hayley Dolan, Mariah Belton, Matrell Vigers, II, MasonVigers, Mia Belton and nine great-grandchildren that he loved with all his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Belton, Sr. and Hazel Ceaser Belton; brothers, Joseph Belton, Jr. and Julius Belton; sisters, Shirley Mason, Sherry Sam and Eva Botley.
