Paulina "Polly" Smith passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the age of 86.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 01, 2018, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Basile. Pastor Gene Lee will officiate. Reverend Mike Fontenot will assist. Burial will follow at Baptist Cemetery in Basile.

She is survived by three sons, Philip D. Smith and wife Cynthia, David O. Smith and wife Deloris, and M. James Smith and wife Pam; two daughters, Mary S. Lee and husband Gene and Paula S. Bihm and husband Jody; one daughter-in-law, Oneida Smith; twenty-four grandchildren; and thirty-three great grandchildren.

Paulina was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Marie Miller Bellon; her husband, Louis Smith; two sons, Louis Edmond Smith and Timothy R. Smith and his wife, Terra; two brothers, Willard Bellon and Benton Bellon; two sisters, Willa Smith and Verdie Courville.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile. The funeral home will reopen for visitation on Friday at 7:00 AM until time of service.
