Paul was a great shipmate on the USS JAMES MONROE (SSBN 622G). Paul spent a great deal of time at our place. He was like a brother to us. When you are in the military, your own family is not always available to help you. Even at that young age Paul was willing to help people. When Martha had surgery during one of our off crew periods, he volunteered to take care of our 1 year son for a week so that I could be with her for her surgery and visit her daily while she was in the hospital. On the boat, I could always count on Paul to help make the long periods at sea bearable. He never complained about the work load and always had a smile on his face. Paul, rest your oars. Pam, you have have a strong family, but know that Martha and I will help you in anyway that we can. God bless you and your family.
