Nelwyne Pitre Darbonne passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the age of 77. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Reverend Terrell Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM on Thursday, March 17, 2022 and will resume at 8:00 AM on Friday until time of Services. Nelwyn is survived by her husband, Emeze Darbonne; one son, Dwayne Darbonne and wife Jennifer; three daughters, Carleena Davis, Brandi Dupre and husband Danny, Jessica Darbonne; one brother, Joseph Pitre; two sisters, Audrey Ardoin, Diana Bertrand; twenty-two grandchildren, Felicia, Danielle, Stuart "Jr.", Crystal, Jessica, Ashley, Brittany, Justin, Candace, Traven, Elizabeth, Austin, Brooklyn, Lainey, Erin, Nick, Hunter, Chris, Brandon, Crystal, Lydia, Alex and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph L and Carolina Bertrand Pitre; two brothers, Herbert Pitre, Aubrey Pitre; three sisters, Marice Johnson, Eula Mae Johnson, Lorraine Veillon.
