Nelson Richard passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the age of 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 2:30 PM until 10:00 PM on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Saturday until time of Services. Nelson is survived by three sons, Neal Richard and wife Diana, Marcus Richard and wife Laurie, Merle Richard and wife Holly; six grandchildren, Wesli Ann, Heather Gabriella, Amber Liliana, Nigel Gage Samuel, Finnly Ruth Evena, Kaden Graham and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fernella West Richard; parents, Willis Jim and Aline Carrier Richard; one brother, Clifton Richard; one sister, Ruby Smith.
