Milford Miller Sr., of Pine Prairie, La., passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026, at age 76.

Milford worked as a lead oven operator at Holsum Bakery for 36 years. He was a graduate of Oakdale High School 1968. Earned an accounting degree at T.H Harris Community College.

He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures — relaxing in front of the television, drinking a strong cup of Community Dark Roast coffee, cheering on football games, and watching classic westerns. Those quiet moments brought him joy. He lived a life of hard work and dedication to the people who mattered most. He cherished time with his family and adored his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable pride and happiness. A man of few words, his quiet strength and love spoke for themselves. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Scott Miller; his parents, Edgar and Janie Miller; two brothers, Arnold Lee and Helmer Miller; three sisters, Viola Miller, Essie Mae Quirk, and Myrtis Abercrombie.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of fifty-two years, Brenda Herron Miller, of Pine Prairie, La.; one son, Milford Miller Jr. “JR” and his wife, Kelly, of Turkey Creek, La.; one daughter, Melissa Arceneaux and her husband, Dondi Arceneaux, of Lafayette, La.; five grandchildren, Jacob and wife Kylie Miller, Jackson Miller, Brittain DuRousseau, and Gracelynn Arceneaux; and one sister, Rena Bushnell, of Seattle, Washington. Along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit Trinity Baptist Church in Turkey Creek, La., on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 8:00 AM until time of Services at 11:00 AM.
