Michael Simon passed away on June 11, 2019 at the age of 72. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Father Clinton Sensat will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Thomas More Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice and will resume on Saturday, June 15 at 8:00 AM until time of service. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 7:00 PM by Father Clinton Sensat. Mike, along with his wife, Loretta, was well known for his devoted role in his church, St. Thomas More, as well as an outspoken advocate for the Right to Life Movement. His charitable contributions to many different causes are too numerous to list, but will be forever remembered. He embarked on several business ventures and was a successful and well known businessman. Mr. Mike was a talented musician, an avid golfer and fisherman and he cherished his family dearly. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Michael is survived by two sons, Kelly R. Simon, Christopher S. Simon and wife Julieta; two daughters, Cynthia T. Wilkinson and husband Darren, Janet L. Bareiss and husband Ed; two sisters, Christine Darnsteadt, Gail Morris; sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Tate Simon; his parents, Rodney P. and Audrey Garrie Simon; two brothers, Thomas Simon, Rodney Simon, Jr.; two grandchildren, Matthew Lineberry, Erin Courville.
