Michael Raymond Achten passed away on Thursday June 20, 2013 at the age of 65. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 22, 2013 at 11a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Michael is survived by one son, B.J. Achten of Eunice; four sisters, Cynthia Dugas of Eunice, Delores Vallot of Shreveport, Pearlie Leger of Houston, TX, and Karen Fuselier of Bridge City, TX; and one brother, Stephen Achten of Mamou. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mathew J. and Elizabeth Ardoin Achten. As requested by the family, visitation will be held on Friday June 21, 2013 at 10a.m. to 10p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. The funeral home will reopen Saturday morning at 8a.m. for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
