A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 10 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Fr. Cedric Sonnier will be the celebrant. The burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 7 PM lead by Deacon David Guillory. Marie passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Lafayette General Hospital. She is survived by her two sons, Kenny Atchison & his wife Jill of Eunice and Chad Atchison & his wife Denise of Mamou; three daughters, Lisa Lopez & her husband Dave of Indio, Ca, Candice Atchison and her companion Raymond Miller of Eunice and Kristi Brasseaux and her husband Ramsey of Eunice; 16 grandchildren. Also, two special friends, Brenda Fontenot of Eunice and Linda Thibodeaux of Sulphur. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Atchison; son, Kevin Atchison; parents, Duley Cart and Mary Deaville LeJeune; two brothers, Raven and Douglas Cart.
