Melvin Martin Reed passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the age of 42. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at St. Mathilda Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mathilda Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the Bishop Caesar Center. Melvin is survived by one son, Jaylon Richard; four daughters, Jesslyn Reed, Brylee Bourgeois, Jaden Reed, Lauryn Bourgeois; his father, Nolan St. André; his mother, Freda Reed; one brother, Martin Bellard; two sisters, Ora Reed-Chenier and husband Tyrone, LaCora Reed. He was preceded in death by one brother, Emerick St. André; one sister, Danielle Mason.
