Melvin Guidry was born on January 29, 1924 and passed away on July 16, 2012 at the age of 88. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday July 19, 2012 at 10 am at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice, LA. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum. Deacon David Guillory will officiate. Melvin is survived by his three sons, Karl Guidry of Eunice, LA, Keith and Charlene Guidry of Spring, TX, and Kent Guidry of Eunice, LA; one brother, Ozare "Sonny" Marceaux of Beaumont, TX; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ella McGee Guidry, his parents, Nelson & Estille Richard Guidry, one sister, Helen Marceaux. The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 18, 2012 from 10 am to 10 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home for visitation. The Funeral Home will reopen on Thursday July 19, 2012 at 8 am until service for visitation. Arrangements are pending at this time. Quirk & Son in charge of arrangements.
