Melvin Darbonne's Obituary
Melvin Darbonne passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the age of 91. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 13, 2021 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home of Eunice with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
At the request of family, visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM on Sunday, September 12, 2021 with a rosary at 6:00 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00 AM until time of Services.
Melvin is survived by his niece and caretaker, Pauline Langley; one step-son, Lawrence Clyde Cart, Jr.; four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great- nieces, great-nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Darbonne and Bernadette Bellow; companion, Dolores Courville; one daughter, Loretta Tauzier; six brothers, Delton Darbonne, Elton Darbonne, Linus Darbonne, Lawrence Darbonne, Howard Darbonne , Ellius Darbonne; two sisters, Joycie Guidry, Agnes Thibodeaux.
