Melvin Curtis Bellow passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the age of 87. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 27, 2025 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with Father Sam Fontana Cele Read Obituary
Spring 1959, Melvin & I were invited by Mercedes Manual and Alberta Guillory to dance them around at Their graduation from Nursing School in Beaumont, TX - we danced ‘em till early morning, then drove back to Eunice at daybreak! What a day!
Uncle Melvin was great/ positive/ inspiring person to everyone he came across. I can still hear his laughter and how he always was a good listener. Uncle Melvin is definitely rejoicing in Heaven with my parents Jim and Janette Bellow. I am sure he is dancing in the heavens and rejiocing with all of those souls who have gone before us. Love you Uncle Melvin.
He was my math teacher! He was a good teacher, he tried hard to make me understand, IThat was not my favorite class! But he worked with me n passed me!!!
So sorry for the loss of Melvin. He was my Homeroom Teacher for four years and also a relative. My Dad and Melvin were first cousins. He Will truly be missed by many. May God bless the family now and in the following days to follow. RIP Melvin 🙏🏻

To Melvin's Family, Memories go back to Melvin teaching in Eunice High, being neighbors, commuting to McNeese, and having the privilege of teaching his children. I can see Melvin dancing and enjoying life. He was a special guy. Sending our love and prayers.
