Melva Marie Cart passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at the age of 84. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 2:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024 until time of Services on Saturday, with the funeral home remaining open all night. There will be a Rosary at 6:30 PM Friday night by Deacon Gary Gaudin. Melva is survived by two sons, James Clavier (Mona), Calvin Clavier (Michelle); five daughters, Debra Ponthier, Kathleen Fruge, Lisa Johnson (Silton), Rhonda Doucet (Malcolm), Pauline Langley (Jack); two sisters, Melba Israel, Velda Leckelt (Fred); thirty-three grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her companion, Delton Darbonne; one son, Randy Clavier; two daughters, Kim Hebert, Connie Pickins; her parents, Cleveland and Christine Rachal Cart; one brother, Lawrence Clyde Cart. Pallbearers will be Calvin Clavier, Dylan Darbonne, Kade Smith, Quinton Ponthier, Martin Langley and Drake Darbonne.
