Melinda Joyce Chatman passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2023 at the age of 60. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stacey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 12:00 PM on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 until time of Services on Wednesday, with the funeral home remaining open all night. Melinda is survived by her Godchild/nephew, Shawn David Fontenot, as well as nephews Mitchell Ashford, Jr. (Miranda), Von Dale Ashford (Ashley), Brandon Ashford (Stevie); two nieces, Daya Well (Melissa), Trish Aucoin (Chad), brother-in-law, Mitchell Ashford, Sr. and her best friend, Dustyne Thibodeaux. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elverns and Patricia Huckaby Chatman and one sister, Belinda C. Ashford.
