Mathilda Johnwell passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the age of 70. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St Mathilda Catholic Church in Eunice. Father Darren Eldridge will officiate. Burial will follow at St Mathilda Cemetery. At the request of family, visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 8:00 AM until time of Services at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice with a Rosary being prayed at 9:30 AM. Mathilda is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Guilbeau and husband Mark, Nichole Dubois and husband Stanley, and Glenda Joseph and husband Beau. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theogene Janice and Leah Matthew Janice; her husband Morris Johnwell; one brother Herbert Janice; one sister, Edula Lartigue.
