Mathew Simien passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the age of 86. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St Ann Catholic Church in Mallet. Bishop Douglas Deshotel will officiate. Burial will follow at St Ann Cemetery in Mallet. At the request of family, visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until time of Services on Friday, September 27, 2019 at St Ann Catholic Church in Mallet. A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 AM by Sr. John Marie Simien. Mathew is survived by two sons, Father Gregory Simien, Terrance Matthew Simien and Wife Cynthia; two daughters, Germaine Elliott and husband Ricky, Francesca Simien; one brother, Ruben Simien and wife Genieve; two sisters, Sr. John Marie Simien, Edith Guillory and husband Slim; three grandchildren, Derrick Elliott and wife Erin, Dustin Elliott and wife DeKeatra, Marcella Simien; three great grandchildren, Kaeyln Elliott, Gia Grace Elliott, Karter Elliott. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Simien and Lilia Manuel Simien; his wife, Ethel Rene Simien; four brothers, George, Dewey, Noah, Issac; seven sisters, Violia Simien, Thelma Cravens, Anaise Chargois, Stella LeDoux, Lucille Guillory, Nolia Guillory, Eltra Mae Fontenot.
