Mary Effen Vige'Latour passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Avoyelles Manor, where she was a resident for the past year and a half. She was 91. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier with Father Blaine Clement officiating. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Mausoleum. Mary was always full of energy, working in her house and yard. She lived for her children and grandchildren and did everything possible to bring joy to their lives. She was also faithfully devoted to her church, Mt. Carmel Catholic Church of Chataignier. Left to cherish precious memories of her are her son, Keith Latour; daughter, Susan Carroll and husband Sam and two grandchildren, Grayson Carroll and Dene' Carroll. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Latour and her parents, Joseph Eluse Vige' and Bernadette Manuel Vige'.
