Mary "Liz" Gilliland Lavergne passed away on Wednesday February 12, 2014 at the age of 62.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Eunice. Msg. Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Krystal Fontenot and her husband Scott of Eunice, and Mitzi Caudle and her husband David of AL; one sister, Shirley Jean Kelsey of GA; two brothers, Bobby Gilliland and his wife Peggy, and Randall Gilliland and his wife Shirley, both of AL; four grandchildren, Mason Fontenot, Austen Fontenot, Keesha Blackmon, and Jazmine Wallin; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Melda Hayes Gilliland; and her husband, Emery Lavergne.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday February 14, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed by Msg. Robert Romero at 6:00 p.m. that evening. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday for visitation until time of services. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
