Marvell Ann Sanders passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at the age of 77, at her home in Eunice, La. after a lengthy illness with loved ones by her side. Marvel was born on October 20, 1939. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday March 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. In 1955 she married the love of her life, George Willen Sanders and resided in Eunice, La. where they raised six children. They enjoyed taking them camping, watching their sons participate in sports and spending time outdoors. Marvel enjoyed sitting on her patio with her late husband Willen and family, cooking and talking about good times. Marvel and Willen loved going to New Orleans with family, dancing and loved her Cajun culture. She was also an avid LSU and Saints fan. Marvell is survived by Becky Crowder of Eunice and Cindy Miller Sanders and companion Steve Perry of Moss Bluff, Anthony "Tony" Sanders and wife Mindy of Duson, Bobby Sanders and wife Rachel of Moss Bluff , Greg Sanders of Lake Charles and Brady Sanders of Eunice. She is also survived by one brother, Zeke Brown and wife Beth of Sunset, La.; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Marvell was preceded in death by her husband, George Willen Sanders, her parents, Eufal and Elrina Matt Brown, Step-father Isaac Brown, her brother, Eufal Wayne Matt.
