Margie Tate Carrier's Obituary
Margie Tate Carrier passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015, at the age of 86.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015, at St. Mathilda Catholic
Church in Eunice at 11:00 a.m.. Fr. Darren Eldridge will officiate. Burial will follow at St.
Mathilda Cemetery.
Margie is survived by four daughters, Diana Allison of Baton Rouge, Patricia Bellard of Baton Rouge,
Ozanna Gardner and husband Larry of Baton Rouge, and Jeanne Myles and husband Marvin of Baton
Rouge; seven sons, Frederick Carrier and wife Hilda of Baton Rouge, Charles Carrier and wife Denice of
Lafayette, Michael Carrier of Detroit, MI, Roderick Carrier and wife Sandy of Corpus Christi, TX, Wendell
Carrier and wife Rose of Baton Rouge, Chris Carrier and wife Wanda of Zachary, and Kevin Carrier and
wife Ana-K of Lafayette; one sister, Barbara Tate of Lafayette; thirty grandchildren; and twenty-three
great-grandchildren.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Carrier; her parents, Arthlus Tate and Lillian Fruge
Tate; one son, John "Johnnie" Carrier; one sister, Rose Mary Carrier; one brother, Joseph Tate; and
two grandchildren, Timothy Carrier and Justin Bellard.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. by the Ladies Auxiliary. The
funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday for visitation until the time of service.
