Luther Bertrand Benoit passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the age of 94. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church of Duralde with Father Blaine Clement Celebrant. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery Oberlin. At the request of family, visitation will be held at Quirk & Son on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a Rosary at 6:00 PM by Deacon Chuck Ortego. Visitation will resume at 8:00 AM on Friday until time of departure for services. Luther is survived by her son, Wade Bertrand (Pam); three daughters, Elaine Achee (Glenn Ray), Marlene Savant (Don), Denise Arnold (Michael); sister, Dale Ardoin (Louis); son-in-law, Steve Shea; eleven grandchildren, Mike, Michelle, Jacob, Alayna, Weston, Adam, Jared, Stephanie Shane, Joe, Stacy and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Shea; the father of her children, Weston Bertrand; her parents, Amar and Mazie Fontenot Blanchard and her brother, Hubert Blanchard.
