Lucy Fontenot Meaux passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014, at the age of 87. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 4, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Deacon David Guillory will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Eunice. Lucy is survived by one son, Phil W. Meaux and wife Carla of Austin, TX; one daughter, Elizabeth Gotreaux and husband Richard of Eunice; one brother, Horace Fontenot of Eunice; one sister, Mary Lou Guillory of Eunice; and six grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, Dovic Fontenot and Alma Smith Fontenot; her husband, John Meaux; one sister, Mary Jane Fontenot; three brothers, Henry Fontenot, Norris "Boy Boy" Fontenot, and Berckman Fontenot. At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. by Deacon David Guillory. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Monday at 8 a.m. for visitation until time of service. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
