Lottie Rose Young Keith, born August 1, 1939, passed away on April 13, 2026, at the age of 86. She leaves behind a legacy marked by creativity, dedication, and a deep love for her family and community.

Lottie's life was enriched by her passion for arts and crafts. She was a talented seamstress and found joy in dancing, a love that led her to meet her beloved husband, Robert Ernest Keith, with whom she now joyfully reunites. Gardening, shopping—especially spending hours exploring thrift stores—and traveling across the United States and Canada during her retirement years were among the pursuits that brought her happiness.

Professionally, Lottie shared her love for creative expression through her work as a teacher's aide at the Guillory Developmental Center in Eunice, where she taught arts and crafts. Her commitment to nurturing creativity in others was a reflection of her own vibrant spirit.

She was a lifelong and devoted member of St. Edward Catholic Church, where she also contributed her time and talents as a member of the Ladies Altar Society and Friends of Charlene. Her faith and service were cornerstones of her life.

Lottie is survived by her three sons, Robert Keith and his wife Brenda, Paul Keith and his wife Julie Ann, and Joseph Eric Keith and his wife Pam. She was also a loving sister to Laurali Duplechain and her husband Patrick, and Karen Blacquiere and her husband Brian. Her family circle extended to six cherished grandchildren—Sara, Melissa, Heather, Shane, Jonathan, and Emily—as well as numerous great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ernest Keith; her parents, Arnold A. Young and New Orleans Manuel Vidrine; and her sister, Ada Marie Godeaux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard. The date and time are to be determined.

Lottie Rose Young Keith’s life touched many through her kindness, creativity, and steadfast faith. She will be remembered fondly and missed deeply by all who knew her.
