Lionel Tweedel was born on October 18, 1946 and passed away on December 5, 2012 at the age of 66.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 2 PM. Father Nathan Comeaux will officiate. Burial will follow at Vandenburg Cemetery in Bayou Chicot, LA.

Lionel is survived by one son, Rusty Tweedel of Oberlin, LA; one daughter, Helen Marie Leger of Eunice, LA; three brothers, Kenneth Tweedel and wife Mary of Eunice, LA; Frank Tweedel and wife Joy of Turkey Creek, LA; Charles Tweedel of Eunice, LA; one sister, Earlene Rider; two granddaughters, Jadda D. Chiasson and Karlie L. Lantier; one great grandson, Daileyn J. Malveaux; step children, Robert Richard, Jamie Richard, Kim Trahan, and Courtney Artigue; ten step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Tweedel; his parents, Frank & Helen Gotreaux Tweedel Sr.; one sister, Juanita Fontenot. Quirk & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
