Lionel Joseph Fontenot passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the age of 73. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating. Cremation will follow Services. At the request of family, visitation will be held the same day from 10:00 AM until 12:30, at which time Deacon Gaudin will lead the Rosary, followed by Services. Lionel is survived by his wife, Linda Saucier Fontenot; one son, Paul Fontenot; two daughters, Tina Willis (Chad), Kacey Veillon (Jeremie); one brother, David Fontenot (Diane); two sisters, Lou Sonnier, Dorothy Soileau; brother-in-law, Vernon Boenig; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmalou and Evelyn Fuselier Fontenot; one sister, Barbara Boenig.
