A funeral service for Mr. Lester J. Courville, 70, will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009, at 2 PM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home with burial to folow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Fr. Tom Voorhies will officiate. Mr. Courville passed away at Opelousas General Hosptial on Saturday, August 22. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia "Sue" McManus Courville of Eunice; three sons, Mark Courville and his wife Christine of Opelousas, Brad Courville and his wife Lecia of Eunice and Jedd Courville and his wife Rachael of Eunice; two brothers, Chester Courville of Anchorage, Alaska and Herman Courville of Houma; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Laura Thibodeaux Courville; brother, Burton Courville; sister, Mary Lou C. Clark. Visitation for Mr. Courville will be from 9 AM to 10 PM on Monday. The funeral home will reopen on Tuesday at 8 AM until service time at 2 PM.
