Lelia Fruge Stanford passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at the age of 81. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 22, 2023 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Nick Ware Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Chataignier. At the request of family, visitation will be held at Quirk & Son Funeral Home on Monday from 8:30 AM until time of departure for Services. Deacon Gary Gaudin will lead a Rosary at 10:00 AM. Lelia had a happy, bubbly personality and lived her life to care for and help others. She was a nine year member of the Eunice Catholic Daughters Court 208. She will truly be missed but never forgotten by those who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness lives on. Lelia is survived by two sons, Kelly Stanford and wife Tammy, Creighton Stanford and spouse Clay Coco; one daughter, Becky Soileau and husband Dexter; one brother, Berkman Fruge; four sisters, Berthna Turner, Louvella Manuel, Mary Louise Lavergne, Jeanette Fontenot; five grandchildren, Bridget Soileau, Cade Soileau (Kayla), Alex Mahfouz (Nick), Katie Richard (Brad), Austin Stanford; six great-grandchildren, Gabriel Arreola, Camille Soileau, Graham Soileau, Reid Richard, John David Mahfouz and Jack Mahfouz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Stanford; one son, Ted Stanford; infant daughter, Bridget Stanford; her parents, Oliver and Dully Darbonne Fruge; four brothers, Wilson Fruge, Leighton Fruge, James Fruge, Carrol Fruge; one sister, Sara Guillory,
