Leeander Paul Comeaux passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015, at the age of 71.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Fr. David Hebert will officiate.

Leeander is survived by his wife Barbara Leblanc Comeaux of Basile; one son, Christopher P. Comeaux and wife Angie of Basile; four sisters, Dolores Moody and husband Claude "Rusty" of Eunice, Glenda Young and husband Sonny of Eunice, Deborah Miller and husband Wayne of Eunice, and Katina Duplechin and husband Richard of Eunice; two brothers, Austin Comeaux, Jr. and wife Joyce of Maryland; John Comeaux and wife Debbie of Eunice; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Leeander was preceded in death by his parents, Austin Comeaux, Sr. and Berna Thibodeaux Comeaux; one son, Gary B. Comeaux; one sister, Patricia Fontenot; and one brother, Kirk Comeaux.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Basile. The funeral home will reopen at 9:00 a.m. Thursday for visitation until the time of service.
