Laverne Burkett Ballard passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at the age of 83.

A Memorial Service will be held on, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First United Pentecostal Church in Eunice at 11:00 a.m.

Laverne is survived by three daughters, Pamela LaCombe and husband Rev. Ronald LaCombe of Eunice, Loretta Murray and husband Gary of San Antonio, TX, and Shelia Vining and husband Terry of Morgan City; four sisters, Jean Windham, Maxine Pate, Ruby Yates, and Verlene Daniels; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Laverne was preceded in death by her husband, John Ballard; daughter, Cecelia Price; her parents, Brit Burkett and Lela Penninton Burkett; two sisters, Idell Varnell and Opal Walton; and three brothers, EL Burkett, Kenneth Burkett, and Gerald Burkett.
