Laura Ann Sittig Gorham was born on January 1, 1965 and passed away on October 31, 2012 at the age of 47.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 2, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Eunice at 11 AM. Pastor Tim Moffett will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Laura was a loving wife and a great mother. She was a 7th and 8th grade teacher at Eunice Jr. High. She was also serving as the interim assistant principal. Laura attended a LSUE as an undergraduate. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from McNeese State University. She also received a Master's Degree in Supervision at UL. Laura was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Eunice. She had a strong Christian faith that was displayed through her life of forty – seven years. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her.

Laura is survived her husband, Herbert R. Gorham of Eunice; her son, Jacob Gorham of Mowata; her father, Charles Ray Sittig and wife Pat of Eunice; her mother, Shirley Pitre of Carencro; her brother, Scott M. Sittig of Lake Charles; her sister, Sylvia S. Bonner of Columbus, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her brother Brent C. Sittig.

At the request of the family, visitation will be Thursday November 1, 2012 at the First Baptist Church from 2 PM to 10 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday November 2, 2012 from 8 AM until service time. Quirk & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
