A chapel funeral service for Lanis Fuselier, 85, will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2009, at 1 PM with burial to follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Mamou. Fr. Joshua Guillory will officiate.

Lanis passed away on Friday, July 3, at Savoy Medical Center. He is survived by his three sisters, Pearl Manuel, Sally Fontenot and Marjorie Dupre all of Eunice; a brother, George Webb Fuselier; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lanis was preceded in death by his wife Murdis Fontenot Fuselier; parents, Lucuis and Edna Israel Fuselier; brothers, Lee, Viale, Harry and Son Fuselier; two infant brothers, Walter and Edward Fuseliera sister, Emily Fontenot. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 9 PM on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 7 PM on Saturday. The funeral home will reopen on Sunday at 8 AM.
